Rotten Veggies

I wrote this poem because I was bored.

Wishing for Rain

The air is warm
The sun is hot
Billions of flies swarm
And vegetables rot.

Here come the clouds,
All wispy and white,
In puffy shrouds
And summer sunlight.

There is no rain
No not a dot.
I wish for rain
Yet see not a spot.

Things You Just Can't Do to Love

I do not pretend to be any good at writing poems, they are sort of experiments. Anyway here is another poem I wrote for and English assignment.

Things You Just Can’t Do to Love

Love is limitless,
Therefore you can’t bottle it up, tie it up,
Round it up, nor rake it up!
Love must be pure,
So you can’t fake, mix, match,
Or make it up!
Love is not silent,
Therefore you can’t hush it up, gag it up,
Quiet, choke, or shut it up!
Love is beauty,
So you can’t feign, mimic, pretend,
Or mock it up!
These are the things you just can’t do to love!

*Note: I chose this image because sometimes the ocean seems limitless like love.

What is poetry?

Here is a poem I wrote about poetry.

What is Poetry?

Poetry is an expression of your feelings.
 It’s where you suppress them,
And compress them,
Access and express them.

True poetry resides in your heart.
Your heart is where you contain them,
And obtain them,
Retain and explain them.

You are the author of you poetry,
You control and uphold it,
You are brave and bold with it,
As you imagine and mold it.

Poetry is an expression of your feelings.
